Collection: East Meets Streets

L'Epicerie Fine Art is thrilled to present "East Meets Streets”, a Celebration of Asian Urban Art in a curated group show that brings together an extraordinary collection of street artists from China, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Indonesia.

This groundbreaking exhibition showcases the diverse talent and vibrant energy of the Asian street art scene which is not known well enough. Ten exceptional artists, each hailing from different cities and countries, will converge to display their unique artistic visions and creative narratives.

From the bustling streets of Shanghai to the vibrant neighborhoods of Jakarta, Hong Kong or Hiroshima these artists represent the rich cultural heritage and contemporary dynamism of their respective regions and countries. The show embraces the fusion of traditional Asian art forms with modern urban aesthetics, resulting in a captivating blend of styles, techniques, and the main theme of nature.

"East Meets Streets" aims to highlight the diversity and creativity of the Asian street art movement. The gallery carefully selected established and emerging artists, who have made a significant impact on the scene and whose works resonate with audiences globally.

Working closely with the artists, L'Epicerie Fine Art encouraged them to create artworks specifically for this exhibition, exploring the themes of nature, cultural identity and the connection between their individual backgrounds and the cities that inspire them.

This group show marks the first time many of these artists will exhibit in Paris, making it a remarkable moment for both the artists and the gallery as it will be the opening of L’Epicerie Fine Art branch in France. The journey to bring "East Meets Streets" to fruition involved extensive research, travel, and collaboration to curate an exceptional collection of sixteen artworks.
